Family-built. Continent-run.
True North Trucking started in a Vancouver yard in 1997 with two tractors and a promise: freight moves on time, at temperature, with a driver who's proud of the truck they're in. Almost thirty years on, that's still the whole job.
A carrier built on the hard miles.
We were founded to solve a specific problem: temperature-sensitive freight moving through winter passes between the Lower Mainland and the U.S. Pacific Northwest. The trucks that could do it well were rare. The drivers who wanted the runs were rarer.
So we built both. A fleet spec'd for cold, altitude, and long transits — and a driver program that pays for skill, tenure, and safety instead of dispatching by lowest bidder. That combination is still the reason customers move their most demanding loads with us.
Today TNT runs dry van, heated, refrigerated, and flatbed service across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The whiteboard is gone. The obsession with getting the load there — intact, on time, at temperature — is not.
Move critical freight across North America with the discipline it deserves and the care our customers count on.
To be the carrier shippers call first when the load can't fail — and drivers call first when they want a career, not a job.
Every load. Every mile. Every driver goes home. Safety isn't a program — it's how we hire, train, and operate.
We commit only to what we can deliver, then we deliver it. Windows, temperatures, paperwork, communication.
From dispatcher to driver to shop tech — the load is ours until it's signed for at the dock.
Respect for our people, our customers, the communities we drive through, and the environment we operate in.

Safety is the product.
Our drivers complete an in-house onboarding program built around winter mountain corridors, urban delivery, and cross-border compliance. Behind the wheel, in-cab coaching runs continuously — not to punish, but to catch small habits before they become incidents.
Every tractor is on a 90-day preventive maintenance cycle. Every reefer is downloaded and audited after each load. Every incident, near-miss, or customer concern is reviewed weekly by operations and safety leadership together.
The result is a CSA/CVOR profile in the top decile of North American carriers — and, more importantly, drivers who trust the equipment they take out.
Annual toy convoy delivering to children's hospitals across BC and Alberta since 2008.
Our drivers are trained and encouraged to report and assist in roadside emergencies across their routes.

Drive with people who know your name.
We hire company drivers, owner-operators, technicians, dispatchers, and planners. Predictable home time. Modern equipment. Real training. Real advancement.
The load speaks for us. So do the people who ship it.
“TNT is the only carrier we trust with our vaccine consignments through the mountain passes in January. Six years, zero temperature excursions.”
“Their dispatchers pick up before the second ring, at 3 a.m. That's the whole review.”
“We moved a 60,000-lb press from Ontario to Nuevo Laredo on a flatbed with a driver who'd done the run 40 times. It arrived early.”
